Canadian Experience class is one of the 3 federal programs through Express Entry. Individuals who have worked in Canada for a minimum of 1 year and want to become a permanent resident of Canada can apply for CEC.

 

Eligibility requirements:

 

Individual must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for CEC:

Should have a minimum of 1 year of full-time skilled work experience in Canada.

Should apply within 3 years of obtaining the skill work experience.

The work experience can be Full-time or an equal amount in a part-time job.

Work experience should be gained by working in Canada legally.

Skilled work experience according to the Canadian National Occupational

Classification means:

Skill level 0 – Managerial jobs

Skill type A – Professional jobs

Skill type B – Technical jobs and skilled trades

experience can be in one or more skill level/type 0, A and B

Should meet minimum language levels in English or French needed for the job: Writing, reading, listening and speaking ability.

Note:

Self-employment or work experience gained while the individual was a full-time student is not eligible for the CEC program.

There is no educational requirement for this program.

The province of Quebec selects its own skilled workers.

An individual should plan to live outside the province of Quebec.

Application procedure

If you are eligible for the CEC category, you will need to submit the profile to Express Entry.
