EXTENSION OF WORK PERMIT

If the Work Permit is about to expire, then an application must be submitted to extend the work permit. The applicant will not be able to extend the work permit beyond the expiry date as noted in the passport. The applicant has to apply at least 30 days before the current work permit expires.

The applicant will not be able to work at a different job or for a new employer until you get your work permit with the new conditions.

Openwork permits extension

If the individual has an open work permit, he/she may be able to extend it as long as he/she is still eligible to work in Canada under an open work permit.

Application procedure

In most cases, the applicant must submit the request online. Pay the fees online and apply them. The status of the application can be checked online. The applicant may have to give biometric and medical tests.

When the application is accepted the applicant will get an extension on the current work permit with new conditions on it such as type of work, employer details, and location.
